In 1992, Tazgo Machine Incorporated started as a machining and fabricating shop in a 2 car garage with 2 employees. The first year was comprised mostly of repair work for local farmers and friends. Within a year, the business more than doubled and Tazgo purchased their first warehouse and began to include steel sales in addition to machining and fabricating. As the need for steel and on time repairs for larger companies as well as the local clientele in the tri-county area became patently obvious, a second warehouse was acquired, with stainless steel and aluminum added to the inventory.
In 2009 Tazgo Machine, Inc. acquired Charles Horewitz and Sons in Butler, Pennsylvania which is known today as Horewitz Steel, Tazgo Division. The acquisition of Horewitz Steel brings together two well established names in the metal distribution business. Today, Tazgo Machine, Inc. and Horewitz Steel, Tazgo Division employees 11 people and have 2 locations and 5 warehouses to better serve the needs of our customers.
